The project comprised a main pipeline to Nybro Energi’s new waste-fired combined heat and power plant, commissioned in spring 2016. The plant has a capacity of 22 MW and will account for approximately 70% of the heat demand in the town of Nybro. The total investment amounts to SEK 480 million. The pipeline was laid through easily excavatable virgin ground. A horizontal directional drilling under national road 31 was carried out using a protective pipe.
