Vetlanda Energi och Teknik AB operates district heating networks in Vetlanda and Ekenässjön, an industrial town six kilometres north of Vetlanda. A four-kilometre transfer culvert with double DN 150 was installed between the two locations. A heat exchanger station was built in the northern part of Vetlanda. The transfer pipeline means that the majority of industries in Ekenässjön now have access to environmentally friendly district heating.
